We spoke to Ona, owner of one of the biggest Baddies fanpages on Twitter. She’s been involved in cast drama, had her page suspended, and knows all the tea before anyone else. She gave us everything on her past suspension, what really goes down in the DMs, and who’s not as loved behind the scenes as Twitter thinks.
Ona, there was once a page called @BaddiesOnZeus with nearly 600,000 followers that was suspended. Were you the person behind that account?
Yes, boo, I was the person behind that account.
Can you share what led to the suspension?
Bullying fa**ots off the app, as I should. Nobody asked for them to spawn over this side of the fence.
Oh wow. Are you affiliated with Zeus Network in any way, or is your page independently run?
Originally I was independently run until Zeus offered me a contract because they realised how jobless I was, Zeus love some charity work chile.
You’re often mentioned in group chats and accused of bullying people off the platform, would you say you’re not one to mess with?
I wouldn’t say I bully people, unless you’re a fa**ot, but most of the time I just say stuff and people take offense to it.
What originally inspired you to start posting about Baddies?
I started watching the show and realised that there wasn’t many blog pages about it at the time, also it was a way for me to monetise a platform about something I enjoy watching.
Have you ever had a negative encounter with another Baddies page? If so, what happened?
Yes, I’ve actually had some with a few pages (@BGCtea & @BaddiesReality), I talk to some of the cast members on the show and I told this page (@BGCtea) about certain things they told me in private and they leaked it as “tea.” There was also another page (@BaddiesReality) who I had a friendship with and we fallen out after they did a promo with someone I had issues with
In your opinion, which season of Baddies was the strongest overall, and why?
Definitely Baddies South, nothing is topping that season, the fights & the relationships from that season… I don’t think the Baddies Franchise is ever seeing that again as it’s too over produced now.
Who is a fan favorite cast member that, in your opinion, is actually difficult or problematic behind the scenes?
Ahna Mac is definitely my favourite but I’venever heard of her being problematic BTS, the problematic one is definitely Natalie.. that big chin bi**h always starting some sh*t and then act like she never did it, and I’ve experienced this first hand.
What’s one unpopular opinion you have about Baddies that gets you backlash?
That Big Lex is better by herself, I understand why people don’t like her in the group she’s in, but everytime I say it, I’m getting attacked like it’s WW3.
Have you ever caught or suspected a cast member of running a burner account?
Natalie, and she does.. She has the password to one of the Instagram tea accounts and is always deleting the posts of her so she doesn’t get caught up in the mess.
How much revenue have you made from running your page?
I’ve made around $5,000 this year just from Twitter Blue, and that’s not including what Zeus pays me.
Are you personally connected to any of the Baddies cast members outside of Twitter?
No, I only speak to them mostly online, I have had a couple phone calls with a few cast members but nothing more.
Have you ever deleted a post or tweet out of concern that a cast member might take it personally or confront you about it in real life?
Once, I made a post of a bald fa**ot and said it was Jela, I got tore up by the fans and she blocked me, but she has since unblocked me and we talked it out.
What’s the messiest direct message or comment you’ve received while managing the page?
The messiest DM I’ve ever gotten is from the cast members telling me things that have happened on the show before it’s aired, Sapphire also told me she was tired of Natalie and her chinions once.
What’s one post you made that unexpectedly went viral or started huge drama?
The posts that mostly go viral are fights from Baddies South, I guess it’s nostalgia from the top tier season or the washed up fans that can’t let sh*t go.
